Windsurfing Provo - Here's the place for instruction in kiteboarding, windsurfing, and sailing and the place to rent a kayak or motorboat. As seen in the April/May issue of "Kiteboarding" magazine, launch your kite adjacent to Villa Camilla at Demonic.

Art Pickering's Provo Turtle Divers - With 30 years' experience on Provo, this is the oldest dive operation in the TCI. Repeatedly named a top dive operation in the Caribbean.

J&B Tours - If you're on lsland just after full moon, reserve for a "Glow Worm Cruise." These guys will also take you on fishing excursions for bonefish, snapper, grouper, jack and tarpon, or on day trips to nearby islands including: Little Water Cay (native iguanas), Fort George's Island (great snorkeling around submerged cannons which lie just off shore), and Dellis Cay (shell collecting).

Dive Provo Watersports Center - This operation promises outstanding diving with a friendly staff. Daily dives to West Caicos, Northwest Point, French Cay and Pine Cay.

Provo Golf Club - Check out their championship, 18 hole golf course, clubhouse featuring Fairways Bar and Grill, and pro shop. Golf Digest magazine noted the golf course's "first rate design, maintained to the highest standards."
Tennis Courts - The Provo Golf Club also offers two composition courts, rackets and balls, and instruction upon request.

Wildlife and Outdoor Sights
JoJo the Dolphin - An Atlantic Bottlenosed Dolphin who began interacting with humans swimming in his territorial waters, JoJo is easily Provo's most famous resident. He can be seen occasionally playing in the wake of charter boats. In 1989, the Jojo Dolphin, Whale and Wildlife Project was started to foster understanding through research of our marine friends. Island Sea Center - Home of the Caicos Conch Farm, the world's first mariculture facility. Conch are raised from eggs at the facility located at the far eastern end of Provo. Most active during the egg-laying season from April to October, guided tours are available 9-4, Monday - Saturday.

"The Green Flash" - As the sun slips below the horizon on nights when the sky is clear of clouds and haze, you'll occasionaly see a "Green Flash." So named because the last rays of the sun to disappear are green.

The Hole - The Turks & Caicos are islands of caves and caverns. On Provo, the most spectacular example of this is "the Hole" located in Long Bay off Sea Sage Hill Drive. Gotta see it at least once!

Local Rhythms - You may wish to choose your dinner spot (see our
DINING section) by where the local bands are playing. This will give you a chance to hear the sounds of the tropics as well as see the locals both Turks Islanders and expatriates at play.
